Rivers

Notable rivers of Debidwar are Gumti and Buri. The two banks of the river have been constructed by the Water Development Board. Gumti originated in the hills of the Indian state of Tripura. The length of Gumti is 130 kilometers. 122 meters. It flows through Sadar, Burichang, Brahmanpara, Debidwar, Muradnagar of Comilla and joins Meghna with Daudkandi. At one time this river was the main means of communication in Debidwar Upazila. Even today, goods are transported from one place to another through the Gumti river on a limited scale. Moreover, this Gomti Debidwar, that is, Comilla, was sad because there were no barriers. At present agriculture is done by the water of this Gumti river. In addition, many fish are found in this river.
